We at the Humane Society of Broward County are so commited to the cause of ending pet overpopulation, we dedicate many of our limited resources to provide affordable spay/neuter services to the people of our community. Last fiscal year 2007-2008 we spayed or neutered 8,690 dogs and cats, which is a number we should all be proud of.
We have a variety of different programs whereby we provide low cost spay/neuters to the public. We have our Mobile Spay/Neuter Services Unit that travels throughout the county providing spay/neuter for the public's pets. We also have programs in conjunction with private veterinarians in the community where they will provide the low cost surgery for the client. Additionally, we have an in-house program that provides low cost spay/neuter to those in need.
As a dog trainer and dog behaviorist, Edel Miedes of K9 ADVISORS, a professional dog training school that does in-home obedience dog training and K9 protection dog training in South Florida, supports pet service and rescue places such as this one. |
